Bathroom Ideas

Reading Time: 3 minutes 14 seconds

We get it, sometimes inspiration is hard to come by, and you’re overloading with choice. Designing a bathroom is something that you want to get right - you want to feel happy with your bathroom for many years to come, and you want to make sure it won’t look dated super quickly. So we thought we’d help you out and share some of our favourite bathroom designs this year, some seriously on trend, and some are old school classics that never go out of fashion.

A Grand River House Bathroom Design

Give your bathroom a glamorous and opulent look with this gorgeous ‘River House’ theme. Inspired by the decor of grand manor houses, this idea features amazing interior brickwork with gorgeous marble flooring. The accents and accessories around the bathroom feature glimpses of gold and metal for an almost industrial feel. It works best with a beautiful freestanding bath to truly complete the refined look - we think our Orta Solid Surface Freestanding Bath would work perfectly in this design with subtle curves and a grand appearance.

Scandinavian Theme Bathroom Interior

Bring a touch of Scandinavian charm to your bathroom with this interior design concept. Utilise lots of whites and neutral colours for the floor, ceiling and walls with wooden elements thrown in to create a natural look. Something like our Raffinata Single Drawer Countertop Vanity Unit works perfectly in a bathroom like this with the oak texture melding beautifully with wooden-style wall panels. Add in some house plants for a touch of greenery and you create a cosy bathroom with a high-end style.

Japanese Zen Bathroom

Take inspiration from Japanese bathroom interior design and compose a luxurious space to encourage relaxation and zen. A freestanding bath is a must and you can use sliding floor-to-wall doors to create a truly Japanese effect. Vinyl flooring to mimic floorboards works beautifully here and the key to completing this look is a double-basin countertop unit. Japanese bathrooms are all about having a separate space for two people, so our Scanalato Double Drawer Countertop Vanity Unit goes wonderfully in this setting. The walnut styling can blend well with your faux wood flooring and creates the sensation of being in a peaceful Japanese forest.

Spacious Luxury Bathroom Interior Design

If you have a large bathroom - or wish to extend your current one - this design helps you make the most of the space and creates a vast place for you to wash, relax and unwind. A freestanding bath takes centre stage in the middle of the room and sets the tone for the interior. We think a floating vanity table on the wall - like our Raffinata Double Drawer Countertop Vanity Unit - fits the tone here too. The floating nature gives you more room under the unit so you can maximise floor space and put a wicker laundry basket beneath. You want white or neutral tones in this space with big windows to bask the whole room in natural light. It creates a feeling of freedom and serenity that makes the entire bathroom look fantastic.

Industrial Style Design With A Wet Room

https://pin.it/7y94lK5BC

We love the idea of monochromatic bathrooms delivering an industrial style to your interior. You want white and black tiling all over the walls with a beautiful floor to compliment it. The patterned one in the image works well, or you could make it more industrial with a stone-style floor instead. The key here is the metalwork throughout the space. You need black industrial metal fixtures and fittings on everything. Our Large Wet room in a Box fits this design brief like no other. You get a vast open shower area and can choose from a range of metals for the drain, shower fittings and so on.

Black & Brass Luxury Bathroom

Lastly, you may want to consider combining black tones with brass features for the ultimate luxury bathroom design. These two colour palettes work beautifully together and when soft lighting hits the black floor it almost looks like a brassy brown. Take inspiration from the design above and incorporate under-unit lighting on your vanities with gorgeous bar lights either side of your mirrors and soft LEDs in the ceiling. There’s something about a black and brass bathroom that looks so phenomenal - you feel like you’ve wandered into a five-star hotel.

We hope this post has given you some amazing bathroom designs to inspire your next remodel. If you need more inspiration and advice, feel free to check out our blog full of free content.
